About MBC-LEO

MBC-LEO was created to provide a forum for Black elected officials and municipal staff to collaborate, network, share information, and provide support to one another in the State of Michigan. The Caucus is an affiliate organization of the Michigan Municipal League. Membership in the Caucus shall be comprised of local elected officials, municipal staff members, associates, and supporting members in the State of Michigan. Members of MBC-LEO are eligible to participate in the National Blcak Caucus of Local Elected Officials (NBC-LEO), which is affiliated with the Natinal League of Cities.

MBC-LEO is governed by a nine-member Board comprised of the President, Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Chaplain, Fundraising Committee Chariperson, Education/Program Chairperson, and Information/Networking Committee Chairperson. The current officers are as follows:
